KITCHENER, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sep 23, 2014) - Disruptive Canadian cloud computing leader CloudatCost.com announced today Cloud at Cost 2.0 is set for release this November. Launched almost one year ago, Cloud at Cost turned the cloud-based server marketplace on its head by offering a one-time setup fee of only $35.00 for a development server - for life. These base servers included 1 CPU, 512MB RAM, 10 GB of storage, a 100MB Internet connection with a 500 GB data transfer limit.
Introduced as an un-promoted beta, Cloud at Cost registered over 3,000 development servers in the first month alone representing over 70 countries around the world.
"The growth curve hasn't slowed either," said Cloud at Cost co-founder, Pat Schnarr. "Frankly, we were caught by surprise by the demand and we let some of our earlier customers down. Since our launch, we have been working hard to develop more tools and hire more people to meet the demand."
"Cloud at Cost 2.0 will be a far more robust and stable platform, offering an extensive tool and feature set - yet with the same low price point. The market clearly has spoken and they want what we have to offer," he concluded.
Redesigned from the ground up for better performance and maximized uptime, Cloud at Cost 2.0 includes an online support staff and new features including a Cloud at Cost API, additional IP Addresses, additional Storage Features, integrated cPanel licensing and additional templates.
Gerald Camacho, Cloud at Cost co-founder said, "With the Cloud at Cost 2.0 launch we have re-architected our infrastructure to maximize uptime, increase speed and position Cloud at Cost for continued growth without any degradation in service. We are very excited for the new features of 2.0 which includes additional IPs, customized additional storage, development API and best of all we will have OS templates with basic custom API panels. Developers can now deploy and have their servers working in minutes to use as a starting point to create something awesome."
